Welcome to The Junkyard Pets. By accessing or using www.thejunkyardpets.com, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Please read these terms carefully before making a purchase.
Our Services
The Junkyard Pets creates handmade custom artwork, digital artwork, photography products, and other pet-inspired items.
Because many of our products are personalized and handcrafted, each piece is unique and may vary slightly from product photos.
Ordering
By placing an order, you confirm that:
The information you provide is accurate and complete.
You are authorized to use the payment method submitted.
You have the legal right to use any photos or materials you submit for your custom order.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if fraudulent activity, inaccurate information, or misuse of our services is suspected.
Custom Orders
Custom artwork is created specifically for you.
To ensure the best possible results:
Please provide clear, high-quality reference photos whenever possible.
Multiple photos are encouraged to help accurately capture your pet's colors, markings, and personality.
If you'd like us to combine features from multiple photos, include detailed instructions when placing your order or contact us before production begins.
If additional photos or clarification are needed, we'll contact you before starting your artwork.
Artwork Process
Each custom piece is handcrafted and created individually.
Throughout the creation process, we may share progress photos to ensure your artwork is coming together as expected.
One revision is included with every custom order. A second revision may be offered depending on the project.
If a significant mistake has been made on our part, it will be corrected before your artwork is completed.
Once final approval has been given or your artwork has shipped, additional changes cannot be guaranteed and may require an additional fee or a new order.
Colors & Artistic Style
Every portrait is created using layered cardstock, premium vinyl, and other handcrafted materials.
Because these materials are not paint, exact color matching is not always possible.
We carefully select colors that best represent your pet while maintaining the artistic style of our work.
Colors may also appear slightly different due to monitor, phone, or printer settings.
Frames
Unless otherwise stated, artwork is framed using standard-size frames whenever possible.
Frame styles may vary depending on availability.
Standard sizing allows customers to replace or upgrade the frame if desired.
Pricing
All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
Prices are subject to change without notice.
The price displayed at checkout is the price you will pay for your order.
Additional customization options, including additional pets, may increase the total purchase price.
Payment
Payment is securely processed through Square.
The Junkyard Pets does not store your payment information.
Orders are not placed into production until payment has been successfully received.
Processing Times
Estimated production times are:
Digital Portraits: approximately 3 business days
Layered Artwork: approximately 5 business days before shipment
These are estimates and may vary during holidays, high order volume, or for especially detailed custom projects.
Shipping time is separate from production time.
Shipping
Shipping information, delivery estimates, and related policies are outlined in our Shipping Policy.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address.
The Junkyard Pets is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.
Returns & Refunds

Because custom artwork is created specifically for each customer, custom orders are generally non-refundable except where required by law or if a significant issue cannot be reasonably resolved.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
All artwork, photographs, product designs, website content, logos, text, graphics, and images created by The Junkyard Pets remain the intellectual property of The Junkyard Pets unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Purchasing artwork does not transfer copyright ownership.
Customers may:
Display purchased artwork for personal use.
Share photos of their purchased artwork on social media.
Customers may not:
Reproduce the artwork for sale.
Claim the artwork as their own.
Use the artwork commercially without written permission.
Copy, distribute, or modify the artwork for commercial purposes.
Customer Photos
You retain ownership of the photos you submit.
By submitting photos, you grant The Junkyard Pets permission to use them solely to create your custom artwork and fulfill your order.
Portfolio & Marketing
Completed artwork may be photographed or displayed on our website, social media pages, portfolio, or promotional materials.
If you would prefer that your artwork not be shared publicly, simply let us know when placing your order, and we will respect your request.
Your personal information will never be published without your permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Junkyard Pets shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable order.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

Discontinue products
Correct pricing or typographical errors

Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
